One of the more far-flung provinces of China with majority of it in high altitude (hence the "cloud" in its name). More details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yunnan

Dali's 苍山 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cangshan_(Yunnan)), a mountain range overlooking the city of Dali. Legend has it that Kublai Khan himself crossed the moutanins during the invasion of Dali city during the mongol invasion (looks like 六脉神剑 and 一阳指 also didn't help)
even china itself are scared of their own tourists. Giant banners telling them to behave.... from our experience, there're certainly assholes.
most of the journey up is via a cable car, but there's still some distance to walk after u get off the cable car... at altitude... damn shag
